I’ve lived in Rochester, New York and Germantown, Maryland before moving to the Bay Area here in California. One of my favorite hobbies used to be looking for splashes of colorful flowers amidst white snow! I miss this terribly, even if I feel fortunate to enjoy everything else California has to offer me. I bet that several of you are currently experiencing snowfall and clean, frosty landscapes. Isn’t it amazing to see such beautiful, vibrant flowers thrive in sub zero temperatures? Sure makes for a pretty picture!

My husband and I lived in New York and I agree with you — finding a splash of living color in the snow was a real pleasure. Beautiful pics!

I love your pictures! We’ve got several inches of snow at this stage in the game and we need a fresh coat to make it pretty!

We have no snow here and garden looks very grey and kind of sad this time of the year… I am looking forward to spring π

Very pretty pops of color! We’ve got lots of snow here in Canada. The winters can be long but it is beautiful!

Very beautiful but I live in Glen Burnie, I don’t care for the snow at all, let alone miss it, and we can swap! I’ll take California anyway lol but lovely pictures. I like looking at the snow from a warm vantage point – guess because I was born in May

I live in Canada and there’s no shortage of snow here! I will admit although I hate it and long to be somewhere always warm I’m not sure how I would do without changing seasons!

I missed the seasons when I first moved here.. but now, just find it easy to live here π
