Mosaics have been a part of decor for thousands of years. You have most likely seen floors or walls decorated with mosaics, how about wall art? It was an exciting moment when Mozaico contacted me if I would review one of their art. I couldn’t wait to receive the piece. It arrived intact surrounded in bubble wrap from their manufacturing facility, which is in Beirut, Lebanon. I’m still wondering how such tiny marble pieces all came together to create such a stunning art!
I believe artists at Mozaico follow Roman techniques where black, white and colored squares of marble, glass, tiles or stone are typically cut 0.5cm to 1.5 cm and positioned close together without gaps to create an image. I noticed that the surface of the art itself is uneven hence creating the three dimensional effect. It also comes with a mesh backing, therefore was easy to get it framed. I picked a simple dark wooden frame to match my decor. It is quite heavy, but can be framed. Here’s a proof on how lovely Mozaico’s living mosaic is looking in my dining room. They have tons of realistic mosaics on their website.. something you might to consider for your home too.

I love seeing mosaic all the time – though since I don’t have much patience I didn’t enjoy much in making and creating it! LOL but I truly love them!

I remember when I was little, and my father did our bathroom in mosaic on our floor. What a wonderful design he made with swirls and two different shades of blue and white. It was beautiful.
