I'm glad to review Tisha Morris's latest book Mind, Body and Home. A little Feng Shui can go a long way, especially when you implement this in your own home.. Tisha has said it right in her new book Mind, Body and Home -- “Our home is the space with which we are most intimately connected. Second only to our physical body, it is our shell from the rest of the world. It is a container for out thoughts and emotions."In this book, she beautifully talks about how our home is a reflection of us and … [Read more...]

Aquariums at Home
Watching fish swim is therapeutic. Studies have shown that it will reduce anxiety and increase creativity. My all time favorite spot is the Monterey Bay Aquarium; I'm really not sure how many times I have been there..Well, it is not so realistic to visit an aquarium often, but there are a few ways to bring in an aquarium into your own home. I have a few examples where you will see large built-in's that look amazing but are not easy to manage and the self-cleaning Aquafarm Fish Tank from Uncommon … [Read more...]
Kelly-Moore Paints Design Center
I'm so glad I was invited to ColorStudio Collection Showroom at the San Fransisco Design Center. As soon as I walked in, I was blown away with their ColorStudio Collection display on the wall -- a complete treat for my eyes! All their new colors are brilliant -- I can only imagine how hard it will to be to select a color palette. To make this process easy, Kelly Moore offers complimentary tools such as their architectural color sample kit. This comes in a nice box with a leather handle and an … [Read more...]
Fruit Bouquets
Hello everyone! Recently, I reviewed Pop Chef and quite impressed with the way this little popper popped fruits. My daughters enjoyed creating stars, hearts and flowers out of watermelon, kiwi, honeydew melon and cantaloupe. Glad this is not a carving knife and it required minimum supervision. It seemed to handle well up to 2" without getting struck in-between. Assembly and cleaning were easy and it is dishwasher safe. I bet this will be a great addition to pre-schools and day cares where … [Read more...]
Instant Ice Cream For Everyone
Our kitchens are guaranteed to be filled with gadgets that help us with the basics -- to cook, grind, chop, heat and so on.. how about something that makes instant ice cream with just some shaking. I tested this product and made vanilla ice cream in minutes. All I had to do was follow simple step by step instructions and voila ice cream was ready after a good 3-4 minutes of shaking. Best of all, there was no need for any electricity. Interesting to see how salt and ice works its magic … [Read more...]
Preparing Your Home Ready For Winter
Fall season is the time to get the home ready for winter. With so much to do, I have just one to tip on this page to keep the rodents away. Rodents invade an estimated 21 million homes just in the United States every winter. Did you know that mice can squeeze through a hole the size of a pencil eraser, and rats can squeeze through a hole the size of a half dollar! Key is to stop them from entering your home and to safely get rid of them from your home. I am a huge fan of eco-friendly products, … [Read more...]
ThinkEco² Rustic Handmade Products
I absolutely love promoting eco-friendly products on my blog. Recently, Jules Lavallee, one of the founders of ThinkEco² got in touch with me and shared how their products are being made. Brian Behncke, Owner of Briven Construction in San Diego and Jules Lavallee, Marketer from Boston are Founders of ThinkEco². Brian noticed a lot of wood going to waste from his job sites, particularly the fencing jobs. The wood from old fences has an aged, weathered, and rustic look. He … [Read more...]
