Continuing my mini-series on an architectural world tours.. Â I’ve got a page on French interiors for you. What’s not to love-they’re elegant, stylish, romantic, dreamy! Â Decorators around the world are trying to replicate French style, so I carefully picked authentic pictures that showcase true Parisian design and glamor. Here’s what I see find in common with each of these spaces:
- rooms outlined with detailed interior-moldings and intricate patterns
- tall windows
- dramatic lighting effects are created by crystal chandeliers and ornate sconces
- vintage furniture
- neutral, inviting tones
- antique picture frames in gold finish with gallery walls to fill otherwise blank wall space
- large mirrors add more depth to the room
- eclectic collections of antiques with travel memoirs styled in shelves
- porcelain vases and fresh flowers to add that unforgettable touch..
Tell me what you think of this decorating style?

its amazing how little you need to pull the rooms together. I really enjoy looking at all the different rooms and styles. Even though this may be on one subject you can see there is so much more to talk about 🙂 thanks for share @tisonlyme143

Beautiful interior designs. I like the purple and yellow accent on the photos above. I think this is a classic design with stylish.
These photos are lovely and inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Ann Marie @ Iris Abbey
I love these rooms! Especially the drapery from ceiling to floor such a dramatic look.
Those rooms are really gorgeous! I’m not sure they’re quite my style (I have a toddler, so pretty much my style is dictated by how easy it will be to clean up when he get it dirty!), but they are definitely stunning.
I like the room with the blue and white walls with the white furniture. I do like this style, but I end up decorating to suit my more spartan like tastes (sparse, simple but elegant, and functional)
I’ve always adored the French look in interior decorating.
The pop of purple is perfect for a buddy of mine! I have to send her this way!
Well , I must say you have some classy taste as far as decor goes. If you take down the pictures I would think a nice little place in Manhattan, but being you have those classic frames whoa… catch my drift. Makes the whole big difference.
Love designing rooms. Probably while mine is on its third redesign now. My favorite is the white paneling with the navy blue accents.
Wow all these rooms look like they could be right out of a magazine. I love the french decor.
I love all of the decor. I wish my house had a room that looked a lil like some of these rooms. Thanks for sharing.
So beautiful!
well…now I know where my “syle” lies….I’m totally in love with french decor! I never realized it was french though 🙂
I love the navy blue and white on the walls. I would love to live in Paris and have the Eiffel Tower as my view!
Oh my heavens. I think I love something about every single one!!! So comfy yet beautiful.
These rooms are amazing! I love the one that has the hint of purple. Purple is my favorite color. I love how everything ties together and always love big open windows. Natural light makes everything comfortable and inviting.
Wow these look absolutely beautiful!
I’m loving everything about this interior! So beautiful
Interest use of wallpaper! These rooms are definitely inspiring!

Gosh, I love those interiors – very elegant.
Such fancy interiors! If only I could have one room that looked so good!
Me too 🙂
All the french interiors here give the living room a pleasant glow. The view of the Eiffel tower from the windows is awesome.
I would love to blog at that desk.. 🙂
Beautiful decor inspiration. I would love to sit at my desk and have a view like that while I work.
ha ha.. same here 🙂
My decorating style is being minimalistic – no design at all, no bold colors. I like muted tones and neutrals. All these are to calm my sense and bring a relaxing mood.
I’m so glad you like these rooms! thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
I love these interiors! I wish I has more money to decorate!
I love cream colored interior decor, it is so clean and beautiful.
Wow, very nice decor. I love the creme color room. Makes me want to redecorate again!
My husband is French and I lived there for a few years and still have family and friends there. You have definitely mentioned the major themes/attributes. One thing is that there is always a pop of colors somewhere. You can see it in fashion too – classic neutral colors and then a splash of red in a scarf or in this case a pillow or vase!
You are so right Andi! I missed the pop of colors here and there.. thank you for stopping by and commenting too 🙂
I love everything that you have pictured here. French design is so classy.
