Ethnic yet Modern

My view of a modern home isn’t just neutral colors, clean lines, or being minimal. Blending colors and patterns from ethnic styles add a modern and eclectic look to your home. Your home should reflect your personality, style and cultural moorings. When you have a sleek, clean, and minimal home, you won’t have an opportunity to display the ethnic art/furniture/decor that truly represent yourself. I have a couple of examples here which you’ll fall in love with right away! What do you think?

The Elephant canvas art is very ethnic Indian art, yet it looks very modern in this room. (via cb2.com).
