Ozeri’s Green Wok

Recently, I was asked to review the Ozeri, 12″ Green Earth Smooth Ceramic, non-stick frying wok.  I love to cook and my favorite part of cooking is tossing veggies in a wok! Since my family is vegetarian, I’m always on the lookout for green wok’s to make fresh vegetable curries to complement rice and rotis.

All Ozeri green pans are made with a coating called Greblon – a ceramic based coating which is free of PFOA and PTFE coating.  According to several studies, both perfluorooctanoic acid and polytetrafluoroethylene have health concerns and not considered environmentally safe. Ozeri’s Greblon coating doesn’t release harmful fumes or toxins, even while at high temperatures.

This pan works well on my induction stove and is not too heavy. Handle is ergonomically designed for a good grip. I’ve been using this wok for the past two weeks for almost every single day, and have not seen any problems yet. The non-stick coating is very smooth, and with the use of wooden spoons and silicone spatulas I don’t see how I could scratch it. It is very easy to clean this wok and I’m storing it very carefully, just because I like it a lot!
