There are several fun, innovative ways to brighten up your blank walls and add personality to your home. One of my favorite design tips is decorating walls with colorful plates. With the help of either an adhesive disc plate hanger or command strips, any plate can go on the wall. I would start with a template that combines plates of different sizes, colors, patterns, and shapes and lay them out on the floor to see the final outcome. Just remember to explore different options so that you can find your true voice as an artist. Creativity involves breaking away from established patterns in order to look at things in a different way.Tell me what you think of these plate collages.. do they look balanced and visually appealing? Which one is your favorite? Would you decorate a blank wall in your home with plates?

I love this look!
Vidya, these are beautiful! I have so many plates from my mother and grandmother that should be displayed. Thanks for the idea! Stopping by from Handmade Tuesdays link party.
Ooh, I do love a good plate gallery – I’ll need to go to the thrift store and find some pretties to hang up 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up at Link It or Lump It!
I love how the plates look when combined together — very nice! Thanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle. 🙂
I love how decorating with plates can be such a frugal alternative where decor is concerned. I would love to have you link it up to my Feature Friday Link Palooza!

Wow it’s amazing how the colorful plates dress up a white wall. This would be great for an apartment where you can’t paint the walls!
Thanks for linking up at the Snickerdoodle link up party!
