Room with an Ocean view

Rooms With An Ocean View

Isn’t it hard to imagine – 71 percent of the earth’s surface is water-covered and it’s mostly oceans! And, yet, not many of us are lucky enough to have an ocean view out our windows. There are days when I feel less connected to mother nature and have sought to a nearby lake or a bay to get my dose. I also strongly feel a room like this will simmer me down. The beautiful blue waters, random shadows, wave sounds and the gentle moment of waves are soothing enough to tranquilize me.

In these rooms, nothing else can be a better focal point than the ocean itself. It makes a designer’s job easy – all one have to do is decorate around this magnificent view. Some commonalities I’m noticing among these rooms are – keeping the panoramic view open by not covering the windows with drapes, seating is facing the water, and the addition of nautical touch wherever possible. I bet the windows are not blocked to enjoy the sunrise and sunset every single day. The color schemes and the decor style didn’t really matter as long as the focal point, which is the ocean is given enough importance. Well, with that said, scroll through and tell me if I’m right! Look forward to your comments.

  2. Hi Vidya! These are all just stunning. It’s our dream to live overlooking ocean one day. We even have the block of land! That last one is just me all over. I adore it. How wonderful would it be to get out of bed in the morning and walk straight out on to the beach? Thanks for sharing this post at Five Star Frugal this week. Love Mimi xxx

  3. You make a good point about most of us not having an ocean view. I love staying at a resort with a view of the beautiful ocean. However, I personally would rather not live by an ocean. I live in Florida, so that’s funny to say. I am a worrier and I don’t like the thought of storms, floods, and that ice cold ocean breeze. I will appreciate it from a far or when on vacation lol.

  4. wow, these are just perfect and love them all. thank you for listing all of them in one post, i cant rely pick just one!! Would love to have such wonderful ocean view in my dream house, ha haa…

  5. I could easily sit on that window seat for hours – what a view!
