Bohemian Chic Kitchens

I’ve always been drawn to bohemian decor – there’s  something about this creative style that makes rooms bright and chirpy. In the past, I have showcased bohemian bedrooms, and now it’s about time I featured my most favorite type of room – the kitchen. Scroll down to see some of the most charming bohemian chic kitchens and tell me what you think of this decor style.

These rooms have several common design elements.  The mix of colors, lampshades, vintage-looking furniture, and unique accessories complete the bohemian kitchen. I also think these kitchens have plenty of room for treasures, family heirlooms, and original artistic touches. The best part of designing a Bohemian kitchen is being able to add touches to the heart of the home: the place where many of us spend hours preparing meals for our loved ones or for ourselves.

I have added colorful accessories to my kitchen.. but these enchanting kitchens go above and beyond! I always love learning from beautifully decorated rooms and sharing them with you. I totally feel that kitchens with the latest and the greatest shiny appliances, granite counter-tops, and modern decor can still be boring unless the designer evokes extra excitement by adding the right accessories to the room… what do you think?

  1. Oh my gosh!!! These are amazing! I love the color and versatility of each one. Thanks for sharing it with us over at #OMHGWW. 🙂 I’ll definitely be pinning that last image to remember those bar stools. I’m addicted to barstools! Could be because I’m so tall that sitting at a bar is much easier than up and down from a table haha.

  7. Hi Vidya! I adore bohemian style too and I have to say that the last kitchen with all that baby girl pink is my favourite, although up until then, I was finding it hard to choose! I did my 15 year old daughters room over in Bohemian style a couple of years ago and blogged about it too. I wonder if you would come and share this post at my Five Star Frugal linkup? I think Boho definitely falls into the Five Star and Frugal category and I know my followers would welcome you with open arms. Love, Mimi xxx

  8. i love the bold use of color and pattern in Bohemian styled rooms. I’m not brave enough to do it myself, but looking at these photos sure is fun!

  9. Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop. xo

  10. I completely enjoyed browsing these kitchens with the bright colors and eclectic mixtures of styles. One l item I noticed in most was a worn and textured wood table or similar piece in each one. Love the photos..

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed this page Wendi! yes.. that’s true – reclaimed wood is common here.

  11. Hi Vidya! Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today and leaving a lovely comment 🙂 I love your bohemian kitchens. What they all have in common, something my kitchen lacks, are mini explosions of color–chairs or chair pads, pottery or lighting that gives a burst of brightness to the room. Maybe red or aqua or yellow. I’ve got to figure out how to do that in mine…

    1. Diana! thanks for stopping by and commenting. Yes, these kitchens do have mini explosions of colors.. which I keep trying to add to mine 🙂
