Moorish Kitchen Backsplash

Hello there!! I’m in the market for moorish kitchen backsplash and having a hard time picking one! Scroll down, and tell me what you think of the kitchens here. Aren’t these gorgeous? Is there one that you like the best? I will most likely go with one of the lighter blue shades similar to what I saw in Reese Witherspoon’s “Home Again” movie.

The intricate patterns, and brilliant colors on the Moroccan designs will draw eyes towards it and will most likely become the focal point of my kitchen. It is going to bring out the personality of this space and make it more inviting.

I’ve jotted a how-to-shop for these tiles and glad to share them with you. Each tile has to be richly glazed and should sparkle. Tiles have to be hand painted and not machine made.  Patterns have to repeat seamlessly and backsplash will end right where the kitchen cabinets start. There will not be a border, rather the same design will go all around. The grout around each tile will be lighter so that the gaps are invisible. Finally, the kitchen backsplash I choose will have to compliment the counter-top and the kitchen floor. Well, do you agree with my list? I will keep you posted on how this design project shapes up. Do come back and visit my blog!

  1. I’m leaning toward the 3rd image from the top, the blue one. It’s cool and pleasing to the eyes. It gives me the good vibes and everyone likes that feeling when you’re cooking. Anyway, what would be an affordable alternative to tiles? Do you think un-woven paper unpasted wallpaper is worth a try?

  2. Okay, I love all of these styles! Adds such a fun touch to any kitchen.

  3. I love the designing of these tiles and definitely would choose the same as you have on the very top. The others are a little to busy for me. I’m more of a relaxed simple designed person for my kitchen.

  4. I personally like contemporary, clean and plain design but looking at the Moorish style in those kitchen I kind of appreciate it because of the great tile artwork.
