Continuing my series on architectural tours with Traditional Indian, Chic French, Spanish Style.. and this time, I've some of the prettiest Irish thatched roof cottages for you. I'm dreaming a family vacation in Ireland in one of these picturesque Irish cottages. I believe these roofs are thatched with reeds, and historically wheaten or oaten straw would have been used. I love the fact that older homes in Spain are preserved and are totally renovated to suit the current lifestyle. How often do we see someone living in a 200 year old home?I see a lot of this architecture where I live, i.e. in California, and wish I could re-model our home with Spanish style touches here and there. Pillars in Living Spaces
Have you ever noticed pillars in living rooms, dining rooms, kitchen, etc.,? I have a few beautiful spaces for you here.. Pillars are built around columns as decorative pieces.
