Decorating A Ceiling

What’s on your ceiling? My ceiling is white, plain, and quite boring! One of my design goals is to transform it into one that makes a statement, but for now, I’ll just enjoy looking at these amazing rooms. I hope these amazing rooms inspire you to start thinking about your ceiling as a part of your home decor. Decorating a ceiling can be a fun and rewarding home improvement project.

Ceilings are also known as the fifth wall. This wall is typically decorated with different kinds of lighting. Only a few of us have gone beyond decorating with lights to spruce up the ceilings. Of the design hacks featured here, painting seems like the easiest way to decorate. Wood paneling, metallic tiles, wallpapers, coffered wood, and windows that open up to the sky seem a lot harder to implement. All of them have dramatic effects that will change the whole look and feel of the room. Hope you enjoy my picks here, and I look forward to hearing from you! Which of these is your favorite?

  1. Love all of these! My ceilings are plain white, to lighten up the house, but these are magnificent. I especially love the last one, open to the sky. I can imagine sitting there and watching the sun and the moon, and a storm. Gorgeous!

  2. i loved the wallpapered ceilings! Unfortunately we live in a rental. But even if we ever buy our own home my husband would not like the idea of decorating a ceiling or having an accent wall! 🙁

  3. I think I like the New England kitchen the best!!

  9. Those ceilings are really cool. In part of my home I have wood ceilings as this used to be a country store before becoming an apartment. I’d love to do something different in the living room and kitchen.
